Scanners&Services$0.2B

Bull case

  • Aligned operating focus on Clear Aligners case activity: Clear Aligners Volume is a key operating metric, and Clear Aligner is the majority of segment revenue (0.86B out of about 1.0B).
  • Digital workflows appear widely adopted in Invisalign cases: The Percent of Invisalign Cases Submitted Using Digital Scans is 87.1%, supported by Active iTero Systems Installed of 125,000 and iTero Digital Scans Performed of 12,000,000.

Bear case

  • Concentration risk in the Clear Aligner profit engine: Because Clear Aligner represents most revenue, changes in Invisalign case volume and shipments can have an outsized impact on total results.
  • Digital scan driven services depend on continued utilization: Scanners and Services are linked to imaging activity, so declines in iTero scan volume or the share of cases using digital scans could pressure that revenue stream.
